Oluwayemisi Efunnuga
Oluwayemisi Efunnuga is a social impact strategist with a background in Urban and Regional Planning. She has nearly ten years of experience using research, data, and geospatial technology to design, measure, and scale solutions that improve the lives of women, youth, and underserved communities in Nigeria and beyond.
Her work is strongly connected to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Gender Equality, and Reduced Inequalities. She develops and manages programs, builds monitoring and evaluation systems, and applies impact measurement practices that ensure interventions are both effective and sustainable. She places focus on local ownership and long-term value creation.
Beyond program design and impact measurement, Oluwayemisi uses geospatial analysis and mapping to uncover insights, track progress, and guide decision-making for social economic development. This helps organizations and communities better understand challenges, allocate resources more effectively, and create strategies rooted in evidence.
She also serves as the Administrative Secretary of African Women in GIS, where she supports and advocates for women professionals in the geospatial field.
She is passionate about inclusive development, dedicated to advancing evidence-based, sustainable, and innovative solutions that expand opportunities, empower vulnerable groups, and drive lasting social change.
