Ayazhan Karabayeva

Ayazhan Karabayeva is a GIS and Earth Observation specialist with a Master’s degree in geospatial technologies. Her work focuses on satellite imagery analysis and spatial data processing for studying environmental processes and landscape change.


She has experience working on projects related to monitoring natural territories in Kazakhstan, including the detection of illegal logging and land-use change using satellite imagery. She has also been involved in flood risk analysis and mapping of flood-affected areas. During flood periods, she participated in operational monitoring activities, preparing satellite-based maps of flooded territories that were shared with emergency response services.


In her work she uses geospatial tools such as QGIS and Google Earth Engine, applying remote sensing methods and satellite data processing to create analytical maps. She has also contributed to international projects related to water resource analysis in Central Asia.


In addition to her professional work, she runs a YouTube channel where she shares practical examples of GIS workflows and satellite data analysis. She is open to international collaboration and project-based work in geospatial analysis and Earth Observation.
